Scalloped
Yesterday, I was looking at the new J.Crew arrivals (somehow I can never seem to avoid clicking through their newsletter) and spotted this pretty tank with a scalloped edge. All of the sudden I realized how much I love the design element. When I think of scallop designs, I of course think of classic pieces like Marysia swimsuits or Chloe flats and maybe also my Matouk bedding. After doing some research and hunting, I have found several other pieces that have the same classic but fun edge.
I think that a scalloped edge should always be a detail on a solid piece, a scalloped edge on a pattern seems a bit too juvenile or preppy for my preference. But a dress in solid black or white with the extra subtle detail on the hem, is just beautiful!
