Nan's Simple Margarita Recipe

Time for a Margarita!

As many of you know, my go-to cocktail is a fresh, delicious margarita!

Over the years, if I do say so myself, I think I have landed on a fool proof at home margarita recipe. I shared the simple recipe over on Instagram last week but I wanted to be sure to share here on the blog as well.

Follow the simple steps below to make a delicious margarita at home!

Nan’s Simple Margarita Recipe:

  • 1.5 ounces tequila

  • 1 ounce lime juice

    • Of course, freshly squeezed lime juice is ideal. But I am not going to lie to you, I have certainly been known to use store bought lime juice once or twice when I am in a rush. (This is the kind I usually buy.)

  • 0.75 ounces cointreau

  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup

    • There is no need to buy this, it is truly one of the easiest things to make. It is just one part sugar, one part water. (So lets say 1/2 cup sugar + 1/2 cup water, heat on a saucepan over medium heat till sugar dissolves, and then your done. And it can be stored in a airtight container for up to month.) Sometimes when I am lazy I also just make in the microwave!

Make it Spicy!

Once you have the margarita recipe down, make cocktail hour a bit more fun with a fun cocktail napkin!
