The Best from 2016
With another year on the books, I have rounded up my tried and true favorite items from 2016. The pieces that I use day in and day out! From ballet flats to statement earrings, here are my go-to’s.
Margaux Flats - This may be my favorite find from 2016, a big statement I know, but these shoes are worth the hype. The direct to consumer shoe company has quickly filled up my closet! I think I wear these almost every other day, right now I am wearing their Classic in grey. Margaux has a different styles, my favorites are their Classic style (a beautiful and simple suede flat in all the colors of the rainbow!) and their Demi style (sweet leather ballet flats.)
Rebecca Taylor Tops - I am always on the hunt for a chic top that is both simple and but unique. Before this year Rebecca Taylor was not really on my radar, but as of late so many of their pieces have caught my eye. I have afew silk tops that are so perfect for events or a night out.
Les Bonbons - Statement earrings are one of my favorite items; you can easily wear a simple and outfit, throw on a great earring and be good to go! These earrings by Rebecca de Ravenel are the perfect mix of fun and elegant. The three drop style is their classic style but I also love their new longer style!
Stuart Weitzman Boots - These boots deserve all the hype that you may have heard about them. If you are looking for a new leather or suede boot, I would suggest starting and stopping right here. The 50/50s are a fan favorite but I also love their Lowland and Kenzie styles.
Mi Golondrina Dresses - When I went to Dallas last January with my friend Caroline we made sure to stop in at the Mi Golondrina showroom, I had seen their beautiful embroidered dresses all over instagram and I was excited to finally see them in person. Their dresses have quickly become my go-to favorite for warmer months or vacation, just last week I wore the dress in Florida.
Align Pant - Leggings may not be the most stylish but lets be honest, they are a closet staple, from errands to Sunday mornings. This style from LuluLemon are the best I have ever tried, so soft.
Monogramed Straw Tote - One of my favorite interior designers, Amanda Lindroth, sells the perfect straw accessories through her store, Lindroth Design. Their monogramed beach totes were everywhere this summer! A must have bag for a day at the beach.
The Great T-Shirts - It is hard to justify spending a pretty penny on a t-shirt, but once you feel how soft and comfortable The Great t-shirts are, you will become a total convert. The original founders of Current Elliot started The Great two years ago, reflecting the perfect California casual look.
Vince Wool Jacket - Come winter, a classic wool jacket, is beyond necessary. Vince has always been my favorite retailer for sweaters and jackets, the pieces are well made and will last you season after season.
