Gray April Days

It seems as though the snowy winter days are finally behind us and that spring is on the horizon. But that does not mean it is warm and beautiful in Vermont quite yet. The weather this past week has been full of rain and more so just simply gray and overcast days.

After a long and cold winter, I am tired of wearing boots every day and ready for the sandals and flats that come along with spring and summer. But these 40 degree temperatures are not ideal for wearing flip flops, so I reached into my closet for a pair of slip on sneakers last week to realize that I didn't have any! After looking around online I ended up on M.Gemi, an Everlane type of company that sells high quality shoes directly to the consumer.  

As I browsed around the M.Gemi site I found the exact type of slip-on sneaker that I was looking for, the Cerchio Slip On.  The soft gray hue and the woven leather detail made the shoes a win-win. The other day I paired the Slip Ons with my favorite Theory Long Sleeve Tee and COS Jacket for a classic and simple outfit. I am thinking that the next time I wear those pieces together I should add in White Jeans to make the whole outfit a bit brighter for spring.  To finish it off, if I had some beautiful diamond earrings the outfit would be perfection!
