Decorating a College Dorm Room
I tried to keep my photos and posters more organized . The "be happy, be bright, be you" poster from Sugar Paper is one of my favorites!
One of the biggest challenges of a dorm room is to work with the dark wood furniture the school provides. I always try to brighten the space up! Here I have organized most of my beauty products within these green storage boxes (similar from Poppin) and in my ceramic blue egg crate from Anthropologie.
Happy Wednesday everyone! I have finally pulled my act together and have taken a few pictures of my college dorm room to share (a good two months after I moved in...woops!) One of the great things about college is that each year you get a new blank canvas of a dorm room, a fresh start. I always love the challenge of figuring out how to arrange the furniture the best way and the excitement of decorating a new space. As I mentioned over the summer I was on a search for some new bedding..wanting to change it up from the bright sheets I had last year and move to something a bit more simple and clean. I ended up finding the perfect sheets from Parachute Home in a simple classic white (XL for college beds.) With the white and white walls I worked to add pops of color and interest throughout the room. My main accent color was blue; I was able to create a space that reflected my favorite color combination of blue and white. Due to the strange shape of my dorm room it was hard to get a good picture of the full space but here are some fun little detail images!

Who doesn't love a beautiful floral print calendar from Rifle Paper Co.
One of my favorite new additions to my room this year, was finding this great clock from Sarah's, author of Note to Self, Society 6 Print Shop.
