I hope that you all had a wonderful fall weekend. The weather was all over the place in Maine, cold and cloudy on Friday, and then sunny and beautiful on Saturday and Sunday. To end the weekend, my mom and I spent most of Sunday in Portland. We wanted to head into town to go to the Portland Museum of Art, "to get a little bit of culture" as my mom said. The american painter, Winslow Homer, is one of my favorite artists; so I wanted to see some of his paintings in their collection.
After heading to the museum we browsed around town a bit, heading to some spots we had never been to before: Tandem Coffee Roasters,Maine Craft Distillery (talk about great branding!), and lunch at a new restaurant, Central Provisions. It was so wonderful to be home in Maine for the weekend and to spend some quality time with my mama! Now, I am off to Boston for a quick second and then back to Vermont!
