Setting a Table with Julia Amory Table Linens

As soon as I came across the beautiful tablecloths from India Amory last year, I instantly fell in love with the brand! You may have seen their products pop up on my instagram in various tablescapes I have posted! (Here and here.)

The beautiful tabletop and lifestyle accessories are made from fabric that is hand block printed in India. Julia Amory, the founder of India Amory, created the company after searching for printed fabric to use as tablecloths and napkins for her wedding. She was unable to find a pattern that she loved at an affordable cost. (I can't even begin to imagine the cost of making multiple custom tablecloths from yards of beautiful (but expensive) fabric!) Julia came up with the perfect solution - to design her own pattern and use the traditional Indian block print technique to print the fabric herself!!

Today, Julia develops and designs a range of lifestyle products from tabletop goods to robes and pareos. India Amory is also an amazing source for custom projects - weddings or big parties - you can work with Julia to design your own fabric!

I was so honored when Julia reached out asking me to be a part of The Block Print, an interview series where she features tablesettings with India Amory products set by women from a range of industries. (Julia has previously featured so many amazing women - be sure to check out all the past interviews!) I jumped at this opportunity but was quickly greeted with the best kind of problem - deciding what pattern to use! I had so much trouble deciding that I ended up setting two tables (too hard to pick just one favorite pattern!) I set breakfast table for two with the Big Sky Tablecloth and an intimate dinner table for four with the Shale Apline pattern.

It was so fun to take the time to set a layered table in my new apartment! With a visit to the flower market, deciding on what dinnerware to use and making the flower arrangements, I had the best time putting this all together!
