Summer Tablescape with Pepper Home

I love to set a nice table, be it a simple family dinner or a larger occasion; I always think it is worth putting in the extra time to cut some flowers and make a cheerful and welcoming tablescape. Therefore when my friends at Pepper Home reached out about trying their new tabletop linens, I jumped at the chance!

Launched in 2018, Pepper is a great source for patterned decor to use throughout your home, from fabric and wallpaper to throw pillow and curtains. Kelsey Brown and Erin Banta met and landed on the idea of Pepper as classmates at Columbia Business School; together, they have built a brand that values quality and craftsmanship but doesn't break the bank. All Pepper products are 100% cotton (aka easy washing!) and made right here in the USA.

For this table setting, I started with a base of blue and green from the Pepper Emma Tablecloth in Sky Blue (size 80" x 120") and the Green Loomi Napkins. From there, I thought, why not add in some more color and make it a summer inspired table setting.

First, I added our set of six colorful wine glasses from Estelle (one of my favorite recent finds – Stephanie Summerson Hall sells beautiful hand-blown glasses and cake stands made in a rainbow of hues.) My mom then pulled out her beautiful vintage floral salad plates that we placed on top of rattan placemats layered with the Loomi Napkins. We cut some fresh flowers from the garden and added in Glassy Baby votive candles. My family lives on the coast of Maine, so instead of paper place cards, we use small rocks that we find on the beach and write on them in white or black sharpies – it is a fun way to add a coastal element to the table setting!
