Spotlight - La Double J
Right now a skirt from La Double J is on the very top of my wish list! Are you familiar with the Italian brand that has blown up all over Instagram as of late? The bright patterns and prints are produced at the same Italian mills as Pucci fabrics - so what is not to love?!
J.J. Martin, an American writer and editor based in Milian, started her business by sourcing vintage items she found throughout her European travels. A friend then introduced her to a 120 year old textile mill in Lake Como, the same mill that worked with Emilio Pucci, Cristian Dior and Chanel. The clothing is inspired by vintage patterns and J.J.’s love for color via her Los Angeles roots.
Earlier this summer La Double J had a pop up at Bergdorf Goodman and it is now sold on Matches Fashion as well as their own retail site. Which only leaves the next question: which piece to buy first? I have my eye on ‘The Big Skirt.’
