The other day I came across the work of Jessica Helgerson Interior Design, a residential and commercial firm based in Portland, Oregon. The firm's style perfectly blends traditional design with modern accents. I love spaces that have a sense of history and do not feel brand new.

Jessica Helgerson decorated this Portland home, originally built in 1920, by brining in new fixtures and elements while not loosing the historic charm of the space. The kitchens and baths might be my favorite spaces, with the brass hardware and soft paint colors. From the herringbone wood floors to the light flooded interiors, it must be a wonderful home to live in.
